Week 8 of Blue Jays baseball was pretty fantastic. They swept the Brewers, won the series vs Texas (take that Odor!), got Josh Donaldson and Troy Tulowitzki back on the same day (May 26) and probably the greatest thing of all: they weren’t any injuries! Below are recaps of all the Blue Jays games played May 23rd-28th, the Blue Jays player of the week, video of the week and the latest news in Blue Jays land.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

For the second week in a row, Devon Travis is my Blue Jays player of the week. The man cannot be stopped. On May 26th he hit his second career grand slam vs the Rangers and is on an 11 game win streak. Keep it up, Devo!!

VIDEO OF THE WEEK

I hate Rougned Odor of the Texas Rangers, as do all Blue Jays fans for punching Jose Bautista and what happened to him during May 27th’s game is literally the most amazing thing to grace the Earth. Okay, maybe I’m overreacting a tad but while Odor was running to first base, he barely got out of the batter’s box before falling on his face. Check out this GIF courtesy of @stv798 on Twitter if you haven’t already seen it. It’s guaranteed to make you laugh whether you’re a Blue Jays or Rangers fan.

BLUE JAYS NEWS (MAY 23RD-28TH)

Not much news this week in Blue Jays. The most notable was the return of 3B Josh Donaldson and SS Troy Tulowitzki who joined the Blue Jays May 26th.
