The Blue Jays avoid getting swept by the Braves, winning big 9-0 with the contribution of a run from an unlikely source…pitcher Marcus Stroman. In the 4th, Stroman hit his 1st career home run, a solo shot to left, extending the Jays lead to 8-0. Way to go, Stro! Also, him and catcher Luke Maile who also hit a home run, became the first American League battery to hit back-to-back homers since 1970.

Devon Travis is on fire. As of May 21st, he’s on a 7 game hit streak and in his last 10 games, he has 17 hits which include 10 doubles. He’s tied for first for most doubles in the AL alongside Ryan Zimmerman and Mitch Moreland with 16. Hopefully Devon keeps up the good work.

  • May 21st Blue Jays place pitcher Aaron Sanchez on the 10 day DL for the 3rd time this season with a finger laceration.
